Yes, No, Wait...

Its true what the scriptures say, "Gods plans are not our plans" - Proverbs 16 verse 9.
& "we may make our plans but God has the final Word" - Proverbs 1 verse 1.
Let me tell you a story I once heard:
A man had a job interview and he had been praying about it for weeks-on-end. On the day in question he arrived at the station and realised he had an extra hour to spare. He decided to head off to the nearest cafe to grab a coffee and read a newspaper. As he left the store to go catch the train, he forgot his wallet. Later having realised, he rushed back only to miss his train, ultimately, losing out on the interview.
At this point, it was so easy to ask God: where are you, do you not care ? ?
But what this man failed to conceive was that maybe that was God saving him from an accident that happened in that exact space of time.
& that is called God's mercy that goes before us! (Deuteronomy 31 verse 8)
This short recite may not be the day to day scenario of each and every one of us but hopefully this somehow conveys the message.
We are often taught the concept of submitting to what he says he will do and whom he says he is because above all else, he is still God. But lets be frank, its really easier said than done yet that is the exact approach we need to take. Often things don't turn out as we had hope for but when God shuts a door we have to trust that its for our greater good even though it doesn't look like it.
God stirred these two scriptures in my heart:
'For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. - Psalms 84 verse 11.
'& we know that in all things God works for good for those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose"
I don't know maybe you are reading this and you've been feeling like your faith is getting weak. God's answers are YES, WAIT and sometimes, the seemingly harsh, NO, but thats ok because he is still the God that knows the very hairs on your head - Luke 12 verse 7.
His plans are to prosper you and not to harm you - Jeremiah 29 verse 11.
I may never understand why our planned holiday never happened for us after so much preparation and subsequently resulting in us losing out financially but this too has passed & hey, we will all get through life's different hurdles.
May God, the source of hope, fill you with all joy and peace by means of your faith in him, so that your hope will continue to grow by the power of the Holy Spirit. - Romans 15 verse 13.
Build the muscle of faith and trust in Him.
